city living

I am so bored....What I want to know is what do people truly do living in the city...this is all new to me and am not sure how a normal american citizen keeps themselves entertained. Yeah of course there are the usual methods such as jogging, taking the dog for a walk, mowing the lawn, or trimming the trees, doing laundry, or cleaning the kitchen. But how long can these really last? and how can you do the same routine? nothing new and exciting to look out on everyday, no surprises when you go outside, you dont relize that the fields need to be swapped, you dont go to the barn to find new life born the night before, you dont walk outside to find something that needs your attention, something that will distract you for the time being or soemthing that you can give your full attention to. wow anyway, props for all of you who have found things to do in the city but i have not. props to all of you. im telling the truth. Unless you have stuff to do like im not surprised about obesity in america, all people can do is sit, watch the tv that is given to them and eat. seriosuly thats is it! think about wheneveryone had land, everyone had responsiblities think about when you did have to walk a mile to your barn or walk the fence line, think about everyone living life like that or not driving to the store in 5 seconds and not having to walk at all then going home and eating. People had to walk or ride or travel for long periods of time to even get to a store or a post office! now we walk outside and there is a post office, the mail comes to us, food comes to us, theres nothing. props to those who live in the city and dont go crazy.

maybe try...studying, going to the library, walking around and exploring your new city, go to the park and feed the birds - that could be like feeding chickens at home, take your camera on a walk and try to find cool things to take pics of, mini golf at monteith park (518 2nd ave sw), there's a par 3 golf course in corvallis (Golf City Par-3) don't you play golf?, corvallis arts center 700 sw madison ave, there are probably volleyball courts or soccar fields on campus - get your friends together to play once a week, just to name a few things. Your in college now...start thinking outside the box!
